On November 14, 2018, a business meeting in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council between Glib Prygunov, Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council and Christian-Leon Turcanu, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine was held.
During the meeting, the possibilities of deepening economic cooperation between Romania and Ukraine regions were discussed. Therefore, in order to form a positive image of Dnipropetrovsk region as a reliable partner, the Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine was presented the Investment Passport of Dnipropetrovsk region, which highlights the region’s investment climate, an economic structure analysis, key features and investment priority areas, investment projects and offers, as well as areas for the investment projects implementation.
Christian-Leon Turcanu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Ukraine, noted that the opening of the Honorary Consulate in the region will be an effective tool for rapprochement between Dnipropetrovsk region and Romania.
Participants expressed the hope that the Romania presidency in the European Union, which starts on January 1, 2019, will contribute to the deepening of Romania’s partnership with the Ukraine regions, especially with Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as increasing the Ukrainian goods export to EU markets.
Further discussion of cooperation priority areas between Dnipropetrovsk region and Romania is scheduled for 15th November within the framework of the Dnipro Economic Forum DEF’2018 panel discussions.
