On February 25, 2019, Valentyna Zatyshniak, Director of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency (DIA) took part in the meeting between Valerii Bezus, Deputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council and German Development Bank KfW representative.
The German KfW bank sent a representative and consultants to Dnipropetrovsk region in order to study in detail the proposed projects of the water supply sector. Enterprise “Aulskyi vodovid” is a potential participant in the co-financing program with the German bank KfW. High-quality services for the population, modern technologies and a “green economy” are the main criteria for future modernization.
“Aulskyi vodovid” provides drinking water to the city of Dnipro, Kamianske and other settlements of the region. It is known that the possibilities and capacities available to the enterprise are used only half of them. That is why attracting finances for modernization is important strategic task for the regional authorities. During the meeting, Valerii Bezus, Deputy Chairman of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, noted: “We are interested in further, broader cooperation between us and the KfW Development Bank. Today, regional council representatives, together with German partners, will go to the facility in Auly urban type settlement to see the enterprise` state, its equipment and so on”.
Further, the experts will have a detailed documentation review, a plan for future work and calculations. According to these results, it will be determined how much money should be allocated for the “Aulskyi vodovid” modernization. In parallel, water-pumping enterprises of Marhanets, Verkhnodniprovsk ta Zhovti Vody will be attracted to work. International cooperation and investment attraction is one of the regional council priorities. Cooperation with Germany is carried out in many areas. In addition to the water pipelines modernization, decentralization, energy efficiency projects, construction and reconstruction of housing for displaced people are being implemented.
