In August 2019, in the town of Pidhorodnie, Dnipropetrovsk region, “Insolar-Kholod” company completed the construction of the second stage of a modern high-tech storage and packaging line of apples for “SADY DNIPRA” LLC., with a capacity of 2.5 thousd. tons (the total capacity of the complex is already 5 thousd. tons). The warehouse was built using advanced technology for storing apples in a regulated atmosphere – a dynamic gas environment (DGE). The unique and innovative DGE control system was developed by the Dutch company Van Amerongen, which allows to set the oxygen and CO2 content in the storage automatically, and makes it possible to store apples in an ideal condition for up to 2 years.

Today it is the most advanced fruit storage complex in Ukraine, which allows significantly to save energy and minimize crop losses during storage.

The Investment Projects Catalogue presents the investment project of the farm holding ” Vidrodzhennia”:  complex for storage and sorting of fruit and vegetable products providing for the refrigerator construction with regulated gas environment, designed for high-quality storage of fruits and vegetables with subsequent sorting and packaging. The total capacity of the complex will amount to 5 thous. tons. Pointed investment project was selected by the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Investment Promotion Office (UkraineInvest) for presentation to potential investors.

Reference: “SADY DNIPRA” LLC (TM UApple, was founded in 2016) is one of the key apple producers and exporters in Ukraine, which exports its products to the EU, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc. The total area of the apple garden is about 100 hа, where apples of such varieties as Royal Gala, Red Delicious, Pinova, Golden Delicious, Fuji and Granny Smith are grown. The company plans: the construction of a DGE complex with a total area of 20 thous. m², with a total capacity of more than 19 thous. tons of apples.
