Agroholding KSG Agro has launched two modernized boiler houses on biofuel – fuel pellets – in schools in the villages of Trytuzne and Nadezhdivka in Solone district of Dnipropetrovsk region, with a total capacity of 1 MW.
Thanks to KSG Agro investments in the amount of USD 1.5 million, up to 40% of the funds for heat will be saved.
“Together with territorial communities, we are implementing a program to modernize the boiler houses of rural schools in Dnipropetrovsk region with a purpose of transition from heating with expensive gas or coal to fuel pellets. This program is implemented at the expense of the holding’s investments without raising funds from the state budget”, – Serhii Kasianov, chairman of the directors board of KSG, said.
Moreover, in early October, a boiler room for a dining room in Novopokrovsk school of Dnipropetrovsk region was put into operation
Currently, the total generation of KSG Agro heat is 5.25 MW, which is more than in the previous heating season by 25%. It is planned that fuel for boiler houses will produce a new workshop in the village of Novopokrovka. The pellet line of the workshop has already been assembled and is currently being tested. The planned capacity is 2,400 tons of fuel pellets per year.
Earlier it was reported that Agroholding KSG Agro began construction of a plant for the production of energy pellets in Kryvyi Rih district.
