The situation on the Ukrainian dairy market is stabilizing. Annual production of milk in Ukraine amounted to 7.7 million tons, which showed a decrease in production by only 12.1%. Against this background, Dnipropetrovsk region plays a leading role, because despite the war, the region’s dairy industry has maintained its capacity for the production of industrial milk, which amounted to 62.3 thousand tons.
DIA is supporting two investment projects from communities and businesses in the region for strategic investors who intend to quickly implement milk processing projects.
The projects are based on two industrial enterprises for processing milk, with a production capacity of 10 tons per day each, which have the necessary engineering infrastructure and equipment. Currently, enterprises are not working.
Property complexes of milk processing plants include: production areas (for the production of milk, cheese, fermented milk products), office and household premises. One of the projects also has a casein production workshop.
An additional advantage for the implementation of projects is the availability of territories in communities for possible investment in the breeding of beef and dairy cows.
The property complexes are located in Mezhivska TG of Synelnyk District and in Novopokrovska TG of Dnipro District. Communities will contribute to: obtaining the necessary permits, drawing up documents, attracting specialists and providing comprehensive informational support to the investor.

The government gave milk processing enterprises priority when identifying groups with priority provision of electricity supply.
Dairy processing enterprises are classified as businesses that manufacture critically important goods and products, and are included in the third priority group after groups of critical infrastructure and objects that work for the defense of the state. This shows recognition of the importance of dairy processing for food security.
