In Ukraine, there are an estimated 17.7 million people in need. Of these, 11.1 million people are estimated to be severely or moderately food insecure due to the conflict in 2023. This is an increase of around 19% compared to the latest estimates for 2022, demonstrating a deterioration in the food security situation.
The World Food Programme (WFP) has reached nearly 2 million people per month since the start of the conflict with food and cash assistance. Food assistance activities comprise the provision of Bread, Rapid Response Rations, and General Food Distribution (30-day ration, Supplementary feeding, and Institutional feeding). WFP is working with cooperating partners to cover the temporary-interim Country Strategic Plan (T-ICSP) period.
Through this Call for Proposals, WFP is seeking to engage with experienced Cooperating Partners (CPs) who can support the implementation of the In-kind Food Assistance for Vulnerable Groups in Ukraine for the period covering 01 January 2023 to 31 December 2023 in selected regions of Ukraine: Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia.
Organizations that wish to participate in this Call for Proposals must be registered/have an updated UN Partner Portal (UNPP) profile and are requested to submit their proposals in English on the UNPP by 13 November 2022 (midnight, Kyiv time).
