The development of blockchain business will contribute to the economic recovery of Ukraine

Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for IT Development Oleksandr Bornyakov said that the development of blockchain business will contribute to the economic recovery of Ukraine.

Bornyakov joined the panel discussion “Crypto at War: Behind Ukraine’s Historic Crypto Fundraiser”. The event took place within the framework of the global cryptoconference Consensus in Austin, USA.

During the panel discussion, he spoke about the development of the legal field in Ukraine for the market of virtual assets in wartime and the activities of the crypto fund Aid For Ukraine to further support Ukrainian defenders.

Bornyakov also stressed that Ukraine can be supported in various ways, including continuing to contribute to the crypto fund, invest in Ukrainian crypto startups and develop crypto business in our country when the war ends.

Recall

In March 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law “On Virtual Assets”, which regulates the circulation of cryptocurrency in the country.

Thanks to the document, bitcoin exchanges can operate legally in Ukraine, and banks have the opportunity to open accounts for cryptocurrency companies.
