The first online master’s degree in artificial intelligence has been launched in Ukraine

The online university Neoversity from the GoIT programming school has launched the first AI master’s degree, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced. According to him, after defense, you can receive a European diploma that is recognized in more than 50 countries.

  • According to Fedorov, the Ministry of Digital Integration integrates AI into most processes, but in order to develop systemic, competitive AI solutions, effective specialists are needed, and for this it is necessary to develop AI education.
  • As part of the first AI master’s degree, Ukrainians will learn to work with artificial intelligence from experts from Google, Meta, Ciklum and Intellias.
  • The program is expected to train strong AI specialists ready to launch products for millions of users.
  • Fedorov noted that the international master’s degree is accredited in more than 50 countries, in particular, the diploma allows you to work in Europe, the USA, and Canada.
  • The Master of Science in Computer Science degree is accredited by the European collegiate educational institution Woolf, which operates on the principle of Oxford.

Context

In 2014, the GoIT programming school was founded by serial entrepreneur Roman Korytsky. In November 2023, the school attracted up to $15 million from the venture fund Horizon Capital, according to Forbes.

The school’s main product is courses for switchers. The greatest demand among students is for JavaScript specialties, as well as non-technical QA and Design.

In 2020–2023, GoIT increased its revenue in US dollars by more than 12 times. In 2021, GoIT received UAH 140 million in revenue, in 2022, according to Forbes, it jumped to UAH 200–400 million. The company’s revenue in 2021 is UAH 0.8–1 billion, according to Forbes.
