Ukraine and Greece have agreed to exchange 50 permits for the operation of irregular passenger transport for 2026.
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine received the corresponding confirmation from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of the Hellenic Republic. The arrangements were reached following a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories, Serhii Derkach, and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport of Greece, Christos Dimas.
The quota obtained will allow Ukrainian carriers to operate irregular bus transport between Ukraine and Greece, which is especially in demand during the summer season. This primarily concerns tourist services and organized group travel.
Each such permit provides the opportunity to operate specific services, transport passengers, and expand the presence of Ukrainian carriers on the international market.
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine continues its systematic work with partner countries to expand access for Ukrainian carriers to international markets. At present, Ukrainian carriers are able to carry out irregular passenger transport under permits to more than 20 countries, and this list continues to expand.
The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine thanks the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport of the Hellenic Republic for its constructive cooperation and support for Ukrainian carriers.
The permits will soon be available for Ukrainian carriers to order.
