On October, 13, 2017 in the city of Dnipro, China-Ukraine Economic Forum was held, which aims to develop contacts between Chinese and Ukrainian entrepreneurs and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
The main goal of the event was the development of partnership between Ukrainian and Chinese entrepreneurs, providing a dialogue with representatives of Dnipropetrovsk region enterprises.
The investment and economic potential of Dnipropetrovsk region was presented by Alim Molodan, Deputy Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency (DIA), who noted: “Development of cooperation with China is extremely important for Ukraine. First of all, because Chinese business is beginning to actively invest in the development of enterprises in other countries. And although there are currently few direct investments from the People’s Republic of China to Dnipropetrovsk region, we have much to offer, particularly in the industrial sector and engineering, agrarian, medical and educational sectors, and this list is not exhaustive. Therefore, cooperation between our countries should become mutually beneficial”.
“It is quite possible to establish more profound economic relations between China and Dnipropetrovsk region than now. The possibilities of this region are very great. The region, like the whole Ukraine, is on the route of the Great Silk Road, there is a powerful industrial potential and we strive to cooperate with Dnipropetrovsk region in every possible way”, – Ha Zhenwei, General Secretary of the Chinese Association for the Development of Enterprises Abroad said.
The event was held with the participation of representatives of 16 Chinese companies, whi are participating in the Silk Road Alliance of Small and Medium Enterprises Development, led by Mr. Ha Zhenwei, Secretary General of the China Association for the Development of Enterprises Abroad, specialists of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Investment Agency, Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, as well as representatives of Chinese and Ukrainian business.
Ukrainian business was presented by “Yuzhmashavia” SE “Production Association Southern Machine Building Plant named after. A.M. Makarov”, “ELVAS” LLC, “Ukrkhimzakhyst” LLC, “Laboratory of Advanced Missile Engines” LLC, Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Dnipropetrovsk Region and others.
